Pebas is a small town on the Amazon river between I quitos and the Brazilian border .
The Bora tribeswomen who live their have a long tradition of bad making using the chambira palm fiber which they twist themselves making a beautful strong natural yarn that is almost indestructable and we have been lucky enough to have the oportunity to work with them with the help of our trading partner Ma Punto and the Peruvian Government and thanks to them have been able to train the knitters in how to make new shapes provided by our clients and the best finishing techniques .
They are very quick to learn and very enthusiastic so we hope to be able to keep them busy making beautiful natural bags for our clients with their exquisite needlework
